Our Third GuestRated “A” Award

It brought enormous pleasure to hear our name called among the mere 32 RV parks across the nation to receive the 2010 GuestRated “A” Award. The award is presented to RV parks which have maintained an A or better rating from their guests, having received a certain number of completed surveys.

2008, 2009, and 2010 GuestRated "A" Awards

Aside from being among 32 parks to receive this distinction, we were among only 13 parks to receive the award for the third time.

We invite all of our registered guests to complete the GuestRated customer satisfaction survey. We want to know about their stay with us. It’s a valuable tool; a way for us to always keep customer’s current needs and expectations in the forefront of our business operations.

I feel this “A” rating is the most significant. We are rated by Trailer Life, AAA, and Woodall’s, but when the guests who stayed here say they were impressed and happy, now that’s music to my ears.

This award is a team award. The surveys cover all aspects:  staff, atmosphere, campsite, facilities, amenities, cleanliness, friendliness, and much more. Each and every person who had a hand in our operations was a part of this award. There are the obvious people, such as the staff who greet, answer the phone, and register the guests (Emily & Ruth), but there are many others who play significant roles behind the scenes:  the electrician who repaired what was burned out by a bolt of lightning, the wonderful Neighbor Mike who offers help in countless ways all  year long. Farmer David and his efforts with our famous U-Pick Organic Garden, the mowing crews, Jason (you never see him but he kills the weeds), … each and every person who had a hand in 2010 indeed is a part of this team! It took all of us to accomplish a GuestRated “A” rating.

To our guests who gave their time to completed the survey after their 2010 experience at High Plains Camping, THANK YOU!

Some quotes from some of the surveys submitted by our guests this year (Oh, but wait! There’s more from me at the very bottom of these quotes):

Love the laundry room. The best I’ve seen anywhere, and the puzzle there to work on was just a great touch. Also, the organic garden was wonderful. Thank you for an enjoyable stay.

I will schedule any stops in Kansas in the future to include High Plains Camping RV park. It is small, but meticulously maintained. Coffee is great in the morning.  🙂

This is a great park. Easy on/off the highway. Great restaurant next door. Friendly staff.

I really loved the tent camping. The barn was a great place to spend time besides the tent, and I really appreciate the wireless internet. I’d definitely stay here again and might even plan future driving trips around staying here.

I only wish all camps were this nice and accomodating.

You have an eye for detail at this park. You know your guests!

It can be a little uncomfortable coming to a new facility cold. But the hospitality and the facility quickly put my concerns to rest. Nice, well run quality facility.

Your laundry room was the best!!!!!! It was our best RV PARK stop on a two month-long trip where my daughter and I moved 33 times as we traveled a loop from Ohio, across the northern U.S., through two Canadian Provinces, along the west coast from Washington to San Francisco, Utah, Colorado and here. Thank you Farmer David for the fresh cucumber for our dinner salad! Not many people try as hard as you folks and your efforts were noted and appreciated by this mother and daughter traveling pair.

We enjoyed the hot tub soak!

We really appreciated the mini golf and the wonderful rec room. The lady who checked us in was very nice and very helpful in acclimating us to the campground as well as in answering questions about area restaurants.

Great area for our dogs.

Your internet is very fast, thank you.

One of best overnight stays in a long time.

Will recommend this campground to travelers. Very easy access, food close by and very helpful staff.

The friendliness of the staff and especially the owner that made us feel welcome.

Very nice place. The owner works really hard to make this a great place in the middle of “nowhere” and she is such an uplifting enthusiastic person. You can tell she loves what she does and is extremely people/service oriented. I would recommend this place to anyone traveling through Kansas!!

Food in the neighboring restaurant was very good as was the service.

The laundry area was immaculate and had everything needed including comfortable places to relax while waiting.

From the owner … to all of my guests … THANK YOU! And let’s not forget that we appreciate ALL of the comments. I know many guests left verbal comments during personal visits to the office. Those and the written ones are all very special to us.

Yes, even at a small, overnight, remote RV park, filled with many first-timers, we can help you create warm and fun memories of your entire journey.
