Prevent Emerald Ash Borer From Spreading

The Emerald Ash Borer cannot cross the Rockies on its accord, but mankind can certainly transport it.

High Plains Camping is doing what it can to prevent the spread of this destructive critter.

Are you?

Please do not transport any firewood. No matter where you live or visit, just leave all the wood behind. The little you would save financially could be the ruin of the entire western region’s ash population.

Here are links for more information.

What is the Emerald Ash Borer?

How do you identify the Emerald Ash Borer?

Contact information for your area.

And my favorite reference:  Quarantined areas.

Please do your part to prevent the spread of the Emerald Ash Borer!

By the way, here’s our policy on open fires.
