Memorial Day Statistics

How was our Memorial Day Weekend? Well …

We aren’t your typical campground. As an overnight RV park about half way between Kansas City and the Rockies, we tend to be busier leading up to and trailing off a holiday weekend, while the weekend itself is relatively quiet. For a true picture of RVer traffic trends, our statistics for a holiday weekend run from Wednesday through Wednesday.

The week of Memorial Day Weekend brought us 32% more customers than the same time in 2009 … and 42% more than in 2008.  !!!!

We also had the most ever who chose to stay for weekend itself. Word has spread that we are a quiet and peaceful place to hang out. There is enough activity to keep someone interested, and yet we’re pleasantly rural for some down-time.  Not everyone is looking for an action-packed holiday. Slowing the pace is sometimes a welcomed event for a 3-day weekend campout.

These things tell me my changes I’ve been making since buying the place in 2002 are making happy campers.

I love hearing what my guests tell me, and I’ve been asking them to fill in online surveys so I can keep making happy campers.

If you have recently stayed at High Plains Camping, please take a few minutes to fill in a survey about y our stay. Click here to go to the survey.

And if you want to come back for another visit, perhaps while the U-Pick Organic Garden is in full operation (coming soon), feel free to book a camp site online. We would love to have you return for another visit.
