Please Give Her A Name … Part II

In an earlier chapter I asked for help in naming my Ladycrow so I could introduce her to the one-and-only Farmer David. After all, it’s Farmer David who creates and maintains the U-Pick Organic Garden for those who camp with us, and it was time the campground did something in return for him!

While all the names provided were mighty fine choices, and the competition was pretty close, I finally selected “Sweet Pea” for her name. To my reader “Jan,” thank you so kindly for your creative contribution. If you’re ever in our area, please stop in and I’ll be sure to introduce you to Sweet Pea!

Introductions were delayed by a week of bad weather. Too, Sweet Pea needed to go shopping for a new garden hat! Her first one blew off in one of the storms. I’m not sure if it flew to Oklahoma or Nebraska. The winds blew strong eventually in all directions earlier this week.

Alas, this evening Farmer David was finally able to get back into the garden, and I am proud to say the introductions went very well!

Was it love at first sight? I heard a lot of laughter so … hmmm … I guess we’ll have to wait and see!

The camera captured this just as the breeze picked up and wrapped her arms around him. I was in shock when I realized what I captured in that split second!
