Social Networking Works!

It’s stunning to reflect on what social networking has created.

This morning I drafted a blog but wanted ideas from the one who inspired the topic … a Twitter friend from Washington. We’ve never met, yet we’ve shared daily visits since last January. My blog has to do with preserving vacation memories and she’s the “queen” of scrapbooks.

Later in the morning I said good-bye to a friend I met on Twitter, who then became a Facebook “fan” of High Plains Camping. They spent 3 nights here and we are now Facebook “friends” (most of you know how few “guests” are allowed into the realm of my personal page on Facebook so you know they’re really special folks).

This afternoon I received a phenomenally powerful message from a wonderful friend I’ve known for over a year … but have never met … a message I’ll cherish for life. As of this evening it’s folded and is in my Bible.

This evening I put another “un-met” friend in Washington in touch with a Twitter friend in Oregon so the 3 of us can teach a class next week to more people I’ve never met before.

What a great day!

What a small world this has become!

And a GOOD world it is, too!
